A Jewish Scorecard: Trump vs. Sanders

In nine months, we will go to the polls again to elect the next President of the United States. Right now, it’s looking like it will be Donald J. Trump versus Bernie Sanders. What is the scorecard of these two men when it comes to the State of Israel⁠—the Jewish homeland that we have returned to after 2,000 years of exile, persecution, and deep yearning, and where the majority of the world’s Jewish people currently reside?

In the end, no candidate is perfect, and each has their own critical flaws. However, you, as the voters will need to tally the score for yourselves and decide who will be President in 2020 and what that means for this country as well as for the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

The Coming Annexation

There has been much talk about Annexation of the Area C settlements in the West Bank (i.e. Yehuda and Shomron), and I believe that we are definitely moving in that direction. According to the 1993 Oslo Accords. Area C is where Israel maintains both security and civilian control. It represents about 60% of the West Bank and is of vital importance to the State of Israel and its future, and therefore is soon likely to be annexed.

Israel is the Promised Land and the one nation state for the Jewish people. Israel has absorbed millions of Jewish refugees from around the world. It is surrounded by hundreds of millions of Arabs in twenty-two countries. Israel captured the West Bank in a war of self-defense and should be prepared to annex it for the peace and security of its people and the region. If Israel has faith, remains strong, recognizes the military, geographical, and sociological realities on the ground and provides for the depth and settlement of its people, while at the same time being compassionate to the Palestinians, then it will continue to survive and thrive as a State, a democracy, and as light unto the nations.

PM Netanyahu Deals Iran’s Nukes Another Blow

As Iran continues to develop its nuclear weapons program and sponsor terrorism around the globe, as PM Netanyahu promised, Israel and the U.S. are on to them, and they will not let it happen! A little more than 70-years after the Holocaust that murdered 6,000,000 Jews, Iran will not be allowed to pose an existential threat to Israel and a danger to the entire world.”

Hopefully, the good people of Iran can change their tyrannical leadership, otherwise the blowout at the UN yesterday will be only the beginning. 🙂

Iran–and Obama–Lied

The Iranian Nuclear Deal has been definitively proven to be based on lies and deception. 

G-d has once again helped Israel achieve a miraculous intelligence coup against Axis of Evil, Iran!

Iran has a clear path to nukes, and they have been working feverishly towards this maniacal end for decades!

This has put Western Civilization at grave risk at the hands of the fanatical Mullahs who endessly call for death to America, Israel, and even Sunni civilization. 

The only thing the Iranian deal was good for was as a deceptive political ploy by Obama to gain a fake win and to support dangerous Iranian global terrorism, extremism, human rights violations, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. 

Now we know the real reason certain people couldn’t say the words “Islamic Terrorism.”

Iran lied, but so did Obama. 

I can hear our bombers revving their engines and see the smart bombs being loaded into their bays.

It’s well past time to make things right and conduct the necessary preemptive strike to foil their evil plans and destroy their wicked weapons of mass destruction before they can use them on you know who. 😉

If I Could Be Anyone(s)

So someone asked me a very deep personal question.

“If you had $20 million dollars and could do whatever you want (be whoever you want), what would that be?”

I was on the spot a little and didn’t have time to introspect the way I like to do, and I gave an answer that I really wasn’t happy with…and it’s been bothering me since. 

So sitting down now and really thinking about who I want to be–this is my real answer:

As a composite person, I want to have the:

– Lovingkindness of Mother Teresa

– Serenity of the Dalai Lama

– Spirituality of Moses

– Determination of Rocky

– Leadership of Rick Grimes

– Strength of Samson

– Agility of Bruce Lee

– Intellect of Sigmund Freud

– Understanding of Albert Einstein

– Ingenuity of Steve Jobs

– Inquisitiveness of Capt. James T. Kirk

– Bravery of those martyred in the Holocaust

– Heroism of Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu

– Beauty of my wife and daughters

– The integrity of my dear father, Fred Blumenthal

What would I want to do–just simple things like:

– Cure Cancer, Parkinsons, ALS, etc.

– Eliminate poverty

– Herald in world peace

– Help/comfort those that are hurt and suffering

– Make people smile/happy

– Be a good person with integrity in all situations

I could probably go on and on, but generally this is what life means to me. 

Maybe today, I ain’t the smartest or fastest or strongest, but I have dreams, hopes, and aspirations. 

If that isn’t good enough, well at least I have a heart and a soul. 😉

A Single Candle

This video is an excerpt from the speech today by Israeli PM Netanyahu at the U.N. General Assembly.

Some highlights from this:

While Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle-East, it has been singled out for condemnation by the U.N. (in 21 out of 27 U.N. resolutions) more all than all other nations of the world combined.

And while “it doesn’t only cast Israel as the villain, it casts real villains in leading roles:”

– Khadafi-led Libya chaired the U.N. Commission of Human Rights.

– Saddam’s Iraq headed the U.N. Committee on Disarmament.

– Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon now presides over the U.N. Security Council.

Netanyahu recalls in his speech–that despite all the many capable and decent people at the U.N., when in 1984 he was appointed Israel’s Ambassador to the U.N., that the Lubavitcher Rebee foretold to him that he would be serving in a “house of many lies,” but that even in the darkest place, a single candle can be seen far and wide. 

I was proud to see the candle alight and hopeful that from it, intolerance, extremism, terror, and anarchy will be defeated. 

All people have a right to dignity and respect–may G-d grant us a path forward to find a genuine peace–one where we not only learn to live with each other, but perhaps where one day, we can learn to love each other, as we are all children of the one G-d in heaven–Oh, what a peace that would be!
