Merging Of Man

In light of the shutdown due to Coronavirus and nearly everyone doing 100% telework, this cartoon was particularly funny.

I can’t remember–do I work at home or do I live at work?

Maybe this is the ultimate merging of the two halves of ourselves–the worker and the family man/woman.

These days were seeing a lot of mergers like this:

– Man-machine with embedded technology, robotics, and AI

– Man-environment with environmentalism and greening technologies

– Man-media with social media and other 100% always-on social computing

So why not Man Family-Work, it’s just another merger of near equals in our day-to-day lives. 😉

Simpsons Predicted Coronavirus

It’s incredible that the Simpsons’ creators predicted Coronavirus back in 1993!

I understand that the sign in the first photo (top left) was edited from Osaka Flu to Corona Virus.

But still incredibly…

The Chinese workers are seen coughing/sneezing into the box of goods being exported to us.

Simpson opens his new bought goodies.

And instead of the joy of shopping, he gets sick.

And the virus spreads and spreads.

You’re Driving Me Nuts

There is just something so crazy funny about this Simpsons’ painting.

Homer is mad as h*ll and has Bart by throat!

Bart is screaming for help.

It so funny how art imitates life.

Where people drive others $%#&^*)* crazy.

And the other person just wants to wring their freakin’ neck.

Yeah, this never really happens. 😉

My Fun Socks

Just wanted to share some of my new fun socks.

You don’t always have to take yourself so serious.

It’s okay to let go and just be you.

From Dragon Ball Z to Super Mario, I feel so empowered!

Hope you do too.  😉

Some Reflections From The Procedure

So I had a little procedure this week.

I hate going to the hospital–who doesn’t?

But I figured better to take care of something before it gets worse.

I think of it like taking the car into the mechanic for a tuneup every once in a while.

This analogy stuck with me years ago, when the orthopedist told me I needed to get a hip replacement and started to describe it as having a flat tire that needed to be repaired.

Leading up the the procedure, someone sent me this funny cartoon:

This really hit a nerve too because even the best medicine these days reminds me of the truly horrible medicine not so long ago.

Ah, have some liquor, bite on this piece of wood, and now we’ll saw your leg off!

I remember my father never even liked to go to the doctor, and he had total faith that G-d was his doctor–I think he actually managed to avoid the doctor for literally something like 30-years.

He also used to joke that many doctors were butchers, and he didn’t want to get caught under their knife.

So that’s certainly some apprehension going in to this.

The other thing that was interesting-sad that I saw this week when I went for an MRI was someone taking a homeless person into the radiology center for a scan.

But when the lady asked for insurance the person didn’t have any, so the lady asks for “proof of homelessness.”

I was flabbergasted at this as the guy was obviously homeless and literally was wearing tattered clothes.

They wouldn’t do the scan until the person escorting him would come back with this proof.

I felt so bad for him and thought to myself is this what the healthcare system and care for the poverty-striken in this country has come to?

While I am so truly grateful for the miraculous care that I received this week, I am equally saddened at the care that others don’t get that need it, and pray that we as a “caring society” will do better.

Anyway, I want to express my gratitude to the doctor, the hospital, my wonderful family who stood by me, and most of all to G-d for seeing me through the procedure this week and for watching over me always. 😉

Happy Sock Faces

I just thought these socks with faces were really cute.

I was tempted to even buy some.

But the faces were on the feet.

So you couldn’t see them around the ankle when you wear them.

If you wear the socks without shoes then you can see the cartoon faces.

However, then you also wear out these fun socks

I’m in for fun socks.

Just have to get the faces in the right places. 😉

Great Comic Characters

Just loved these adorable comic book characters.

They are originals put together by the comic creator.

The characters are made from colored Perler Beads.

Once the beads are laid out into these awesome characters, they are iron-melted together.

Each of these was advertised for $20 (not the $15 listed at the top of the picture), but we got a deal.

Together as a set, they are very cool, colorful, and fun to liven up any environment.

I have them on a display at home and it’s nice to not be so serious all the time, and instead let loose with some creative juice.  😉

Andy The Swimmer

This was a cute cartoon that “Anastasia The Lifeguard” doodled of me swimming.

She captured me doing my laps.

Enjoying the sunshine.

Breathing in the fresh air.

Appreciating the beautiful flowers.

Loving the pool and water.

Thank you so much for this great picture!

Held Hostage To Hate

Hostage.jpeg

So isn’t it bad enough that the radical Iranian regime is the #1 state sponsor of global terrorism and human rights abuses, and threatens the West with nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, and genocidal actions.

Iran continues to spread disgusting hatred and bigotry–against the West, and journalists, and gays, and Sunni Muslims, and Jews.

Now Iran is conducting 2 vile and despicable anti-Semitic cartoon contests

– Making fun of, desecrating, and denying the 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, and

– Threatening and terrorizing the people of the Holy Land of Israel.

Yet, this is the Iran we lift sanctions on and free $100+ billion to pour into yet more hate, weapons, and terror.

The results of tolerating disrespect, hate and bigotry is no doubt more of the horrible same.

What then will be the result of acquiescing to and attempting to appease threats, terror, and weapons of mass destruction?  😉

Larry The Lobster Is All Wound Up

While Dossy was getting a haircut today, Minna and I went into the Hobby Store.

We wound up Larry The Lobster here and let him go wild.

You can enjoy his crazy dancing and waving.

It was nice to have a day off together and fun for us to take this short video.
