Keep A Cool Temperament

So this was amazing.

I was working with someone for a number of weeks/months.

All of a sudden, I got a complete blow off email from them that said they are done and they wished me well in a sort of very sarcastic and even contemptuous way–like a real f*ck off!

Were they just being nasty or trying to pick a fight or something?

First, I was taken aback and honestly hurt–like what the heck happened that they showed their true strips…did I miss it all along.

I showed my wife their email, and she read it the same way, and said “What an asshole!”

I continued to hold my mouthpiece and feelings as I contemplated how I would respond.

I have to admit that some choice words and wishes back to them definitely came to mind.

But I said to myself, “Hold, hold, hold!”

It wasn’t easy not to respond in kind–lash back out at them–and even then some for good measure.

No, that isn’t the way.

You can rise above this.

I kept my mouth shut and literally controlled my reactions.

Well, lo’ and behold, I thought I would never hear from this person again the way they spoke to me, but then a few days later,  I received another email where apparently they rethought what they did.

It didn’t have to come from me to them to “set them straight!”

Their own conscience seemed to have played on them and they came to their own senses about how they behaved and spoke.

I learned from this that it is critical to maintain your composure and keep your cool under all circumstances, no matter how trying.

Don’t stoop to their level–you rise above it!

Sometimes, the other person may just surprise you and rise back up too and do the right thing in the end. 😉

The Divided States Of America

Divided States.JPEG

So the way the alt-left are fighting it out with President Trump…with violent protests, riots, marches, insults, beatings, fires, broken windows, and sheer contempt,  you’d think we were in a third world country under a brutal dictator, or worse.

Gone is the respect, decency, compromise, and diplomacy among valid differences of opinion and points of view.

Talking it out and working it out…forget about it.

Aside from taking up arms, it’s almost like this country is in a second civil war

The United States has become the divided states.

Hitler, Nazis, Stalin, Commies!

California wants to secede (like Texas wanted to previously).

Lawsuits against the President.

Screams, posters and groups of “Not my President.”

Celebrities threatening to pack up and leave the country.

Refusals to carry out the laws of the land.

People joining the resistance and underground.

Secret communications in agencies

Plotting and threats for a military overthrow of the Presidency

Calls for blowing up the White House.

Tweets calling for assassination and pics posted of what it would look like.

Yet there are no death camps, no razor sharp wire, no attack dogs ripping the flesh off people, no forced labor, no death marches, no brutal beatings, no starvation of prisoners, no poison gas showers, no crematoria, no firing squads, no mass graves, no gruesome experiments on twins, no vicious assaults, no sexual abuse and rapes, no Star of David patches to be worn, no threats to exterminate.

While of course, we need to ensure “Never Again” for all of us– even the slightest inkling of it–is there really a bona-fide “again” or “inkling” here in the first place?

Silence In The Face Of Ongoing Terror And Murder

Silence.jpeg

In the recent wave of terror attacks in Israel, in less than 3 months (Oct 1- Nov 23), there have been:

– 21 Murdered

– 184 Wounded (20 critically)

Through:

– 74 Stabbings

– 10 Shootings

– 11 Car Rammings

The murdered include Ezra Schwartz, an 18-year old American citizen from Massachusetts.

Despite the terrorism and the death of an American citizen along with so many other innocent Jews, the superpower country of the world is silent–not calling it reprehensible or deplorable or condemning it or demanding the terrorism stop immediately.

– Silence, despite about the murder of Jews and even its own U.S. citizen in Israel on November 19.

– Silence, yet signing nuke deals with “Axis Of Evil” Iran–the #1 state sponsor of terrorism (undiminished in 2015) and top abuser of human rights.

– Silence in the face of terror attacks against Jews elsewhere abroad, like the Jewish teacher stabbed and killed in Paris last week by three assailants shouting anti-Semitic insults?

– Silence through a “no-show” at the Solidarity Rally in Paris with 40 other heads of state in January to denounce the terror attack on Charlie Hebdo and on the Jewish grocery store that killed 17 innocent people.

Could this perhaps be payback time to one of it’s closest friends and allies for:

– Continuing settlements for an expanding Israeli population who are surrounded by hostile neighbors that want to throw them into the Mediterranean Sea.

– For a peace deal with the Palestinians that didn’t materialize without a peace parter that would recognize the Jews States’ right to even exist.

– For Netanyahu’s objection to the Iranian nuke deal that put’s Israel in the crosshairs of a sprouting nuclear regime that threatens annihilation against it.

Regardless of why, it is abundantly clear that the killing of Jews in Israel and abroad is tacitly being given the green light to continue–and so it’s an open field day for terror and murder of Jews!

Even the generally harsh critic of Israel, Amnesty International, has come out calling the terror against Israel “reprehensible and unjustified” and “a clear contempt for human life.”

The appalling indifference to the murder of Jews by top administration officials, just 70-years after the Holocaust, is being heard loud and clear around the world.

– It is a sanctioning of terrorism and murder, period.

– It is reprehensible, period.

– It is cementing a legacy of blind hatred and blatant discrimination and anti-Semitism that will go down in history, period.

“Chickenshit”?

Chicken
Wow, what type of politician calls the Prime Minister of Israel, our “Major Strategic Partner,” with an “unshakable bond,” a “Chickensh*t”?

Yes, it’s in the Washington Examiner today.

Forget about being completely rude and disrespectful–how utterly impolitic!

Sinking to new political lows globally with our friends and allies–while the ratings sink (and sink) to new lows for these politicians.

Imagine, Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu defends his nation by putting real boots on the ground in Hamas-run Gaza for the 50-days of fighting rocket barrages and terror tunnels, and builds apartments in Jerusalem, the Capital of Israel–Sorry, that is not Chickensh*t.

While domestically, we have been seen as in full global retreat abandoning our bases in Iraq and Afghanistan, carpet bombing from the air in Syria and not punishing chemical weapons use (remember the “red line“), leaving key portions of Ukraine in the hands of Russia, seeking to forge WMD-losing deals with the devils in Iran, and watching the situation deteriorate as we “Pivot East” to Asia, and as we all know, much more.

– Finanically–we can’t balance a budget,

– Ebola Epidemic–we can’t put together a sensible quarantine policy (while the States fill the void)

Imigration–we can’t muster a realistic bill

Veterans–the scandal of not caring for our veterans is still scathing.

And the list goes on, virtually without end.

Horrible name-calling and snubbing leaders on the world stage, let alone of our best allies and friends, is not only politically immature, but morally disgraceful–but psychological projection is a very real possibility.
