Prevent Problems From Becoming Crises

I heard this saying and thought it was good:

Problems that are left unattended have a habit of becoming crises.

I suppose problems exist for us to confront and deal with them, so we can grow ourselves.

– There is no running from problems.

– There is no hiding from problems.

Problems can follow you with better than laser-guided GPS and they will find you out.

The only option is it face the challenge head-on and the earlier and more productively the better. 😉

Remember 9/11 + The Global War on Terror

Just thinking about this lately…

How quickly we forget what happened on 9/11.

After 2001, we said:

9/11 was “the day that changed everything” and we shed blood and treasure on a global “war on terror”

In 2019, radical American politicians are:

Referring to 9/11 as “Some people did something”

Laughing at Americans for fearing ISIS

Refusing to condemn terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda or Sharia practices such as female genital mutilation

Calling for Open Borders and Sanctuary Cities, including not cooperating with Federal law enforcement

Promoting Socialism over Democracy, including healthcare for illegal immigrants and forgiving all student loan debt

Urging the release of jailed Muslim Brotherhood terrorist leader

Endorsing corrupt Venezuelan dictator, Nicholas Maduro rather than the democratic opposition.

Blaming the U.S. for “thousands of Somalis killed by American Forces” during Black Hawk Down

Saying “It’s all about the Benjamin’s baby” and supporting anti-Semitic, anti-Israel practices like BDS

Comparing Immigrant Detention Camps to Concentration Camps

Reflecting on a “calming feeling” when thinking about the Holocaust

I hope all Americans will realize the absolutely frightening enemy within that our nation now faces and votes accordingly in 2020.

From Tulips to Cryptocurrency

There always seem to be another mania.

From the Tulips Mania in 1637, when a tulip went for more than 10x what a skilled workman earned in an entire year!

To Cryptocurrency in 2018, which is down about 80% from its $20,000 peak losing $700,000,000,000.

In between, we had the gold rush, the great depression, the tech/dot-com bubble, and the housing/mortgage crisis, and many more I am sure.

There seems to always be something for people to get excited about in an “irrational exuberance” type of way, as former Federal Reserve Chair, Alan Greenspan put it.

Is it boredom, big dreams, unadulterated greed, the desire to “get rich quick” and easy, the belief that you’ve discovered the Holy Grail or is it just people being stupid.

Either way, we have a way of getting ourselves in trouble, some “losing their shirts.”

Not sure who said it, but there isn’t an easy fix to your life.

There are small and big problems, and then there is you trying to fix them (with G-d’s help).

As to bitcoins and tulips, they ain’t worth what you think they are. 😉

Doctors In Houston

Doctors.jpeg

With the crisis of Hurricane Harvey and the rains still battering Houston…

It was so amazing to read this morning about the doctors who are going all out to help people in need there.

Doctors staying in the hospital for days to cover their patients stuck there and requiring care and treatment.

And others that are wading through the waters at there own risk to get there to treat the sick.

One doctor mentioned was Adi Diab M.D. who trekked 3 miles through a foot of water to get Anderson Cancer Center “to attend to a patient undergoing an experimental cancer treatment.”

He did this so as not to interfere with the patients scheduled treatment for the re-engineering of immune cells to fight a tumor.

I’ll tell you, there really are some truly amazing people out there–whether doctors and nurses, firefighters and emergency responders, law enforcement and military personnel.

They run into danger and disaster zones when everyone else is running out.

Is it professionalism, dedication, duty, or an angelic calling to help people and the nation in need.

This is our nation at its best–united!!!–and helping our neighbors, saving lives, and putting others before self.

“Houston there is a problem”, and as unbelievably horrible and unfortunate as it is, perhaps it is also a critical reminder of what’s really important and a healing to our great nation.  😉

Nuke Fear Turning To Action?

No Nukes.jpeg

What sane person would not be afraid of the incredibly destructive power of nukes (and other weapons of mass destruction)?

Currently, there are about 15,000 either stockpiled or poised to strike around the world.

Enough deadly weapons to kill the entire planet!

After a frightening series of 5 nukes tests since 2006 plus 18 technologically progressive ballistic missiles tests over the last 6 months, things are escalating after new sanctions imposed to try to contain the threat–with North Korea rattling it’s nuclear arsenal with a shrill threat of attack moving to “physical action” and the U.S. shooting back “fire and fury,
”

As to further North Korean mad progress, it was reported that they are developing a powerful new H-bomb with immense destructive power, especially towards our density killing fields:

– If such a weapon would strike, G-d forbid, Washington D.C., it could mean 500,000 dead and another 900,000 injured–let alone what this would mean in terms of a destructive decapitation to the very functioning and continuity of our government and country.

– Even worse fatalities would occur should it strike our financial capital, New York City, with estimates of 1.7 million dead.

Hence, the news that this is no joking matter anymore (as if it really ever was).

Fears typically first get expressed in rhetoric, but then with greater and ever potent means for them to become reality, the risks increase for them to actually make the horrific leap.

What happens next with the ever menacing dangers from rogue Axis of Evil nations, North Korea and Iran–and will we ever feel and be safe again, absent any meaningful social progress while they continue to absolutely and speedily advance their ever more deadly weapons programs and the means to deliver them, first class. ;-0

Rivers Of Blood

So after years of brutal war in Syria and use of chemical weapons of mass destruction…

Obama and Kerry did nothing!

And the result has literally been rivers of blood in Syria.

Obama and Kerry could have fired the warning shots–as President Trump just did 79 days into his new administration–but Obama and Kerry choose weakness and inaction.

The result of the Obama administration’s inaction is that Russia has now comfortably moved and settled into Syria and that 500,000 Syrians are dead, 13.5 million require humanitarian assistance, 6 million are internally displaced, and 4.8 million refugees have fled across the borders.

Contrary to all who have accused President Trump of being complicit with Russia, instead we now see in him a leader who in fact stands up for what is right to Russia and despots like Syria’s Assad.

Perhaps the real person complicit with the Russians and Iranians was Obama who let them ride roughshod over human rights and over America.

In complicity was not President Trump, but Obama secretly whispering to the Russians and caught on an open mic: “After the election, I will have more flexibility”–to do what Americans obviously wouldn’t want me to do.

With regards to Syria’s chemical weapons, Kerry falsely stated to the American people:

We got 100% of chemical weapons out of Syria.

However, the slaughter continued for years and we continue to see chemical weapons used again this week with horrific pictures of men, women, and children brutally murdered in the streets of Syria.

But the weakness, disengagement, and leadership from behind from Obama and Kerry is hopefully behind us now.

Stay tuned…next up is the phony deal that Obama and Kerry made with “Axis of Evil” Iran and the do-nothing with North Korea that has continued to lead them to a nuclear ICBM that can reach America!

So as we will soon start the holidays of Passover and Easter, we know that only G-d can make rivers of white water or of red blood flow mercifully or justly, but Obama and Kerry are the ones complicit in the slaughter of hundreds of thousands in Syria that they could’ve stopped, but didn’t.

Budget Cuts Conundrum

G-d Over Money.jpeg

So I’m hearing two opposing themes about the proposed federal budget cuts:

1) It’s horrible because we are cutting into the bone and this is going to really hurt a lot of important government programs.

2) It’s great because we have been spending money that we don’t really have, and we need to finally reign it in.

Let’s face it, we’ll never get such drastic cuts across the civilian government unless this country goes into severe crisis mode–which never happens until it’s too late and something terrible has happened.

If we even got half the cuts being proposed–which most people don’t seem to believe will even happen–that would be significant and painful itself.

The truth of the matter is that we are facing enormous danger on both the national security and financial fronts!

– Militarily–Russia, China, Iran, North Korea pose huge threats including those involving weapons of mass destruction.

– Financially–We have a serious national debt to the tune of $20 trillion, an annual trade deficit of half a trillion dollars, and social security and medicare trust funds that are going bankrupt.

If we let these threats run their course, we will eventually have a crisis that will be truly nationally catastrophic.

So what’s it gonna be–guns or butter–or national bankruptcy. 😉
