Some street art just makes you stop and say wow!
This mural on the side of a building in Philadelphia is just amazing.
It takes a regular street (even next to an abandoned lot) and makes it eye-popping.
Some people seem to walk by and not even notice.
I’m not sure how. 😉

I really love Graffiti Art!
Went to Wynwood Walls in Miami.
The art is just fantastic.
Better than the typical museum.
So creative.
So big.
So colorful.
So full of life.
They took a whole rundown neighborhood and made it cool and great.
On December 5, they will be opening the Museum of Graffiti.
Can’t wait to go back and immerse myself in it! 😉

Ok, the title of this blog may not be the best.
Some may associate the “Love Truck” with human trafficking or something horrible.
But this truck in Washington D.C. really fitted the name with messages on the windows and sides like:
Love not hate.
Peace on planet Earth.
One race, the human race.
Left, right, make America unite again through love.
2 wrongs don’t make it right.
Stop bombing, start educating.
Smile, life is short.
Be kind to your fellow man.
I almost got to wonder what’s on the other side of this truck???
Anyway, I know it’s more than kind of kooky to graffiti up your own vehicle this way, but I still rather see these messages and actions than those of hate and violence in this world.

Thought this was a really cool fashion design skirt that I saw in Neiman Marcus.
Aside from all the colors, the design is just eye-taking.
Almost like graffiti on a skirt!
Hey, I think that would make a great business for someone(s) by the way.
Give me a call…and we’ll start it up and make a $ billion–I hope!
Seriously, this skirt is so interesting with a scare theme of monsters, heart, teeth, and blood.
But the fright is quickly turned into envious fashion style as a complete standout item.
Gorgeous design and style, and I definitely see a fashion trend emerging here big time. 😉

I actually stopped to read and photograph this graffiti or should I all it a cry for help.
First of all the “artist” was considerate and put it on paper (that was taped up), and not directly on the street pole.
Second, there are some incredibly thoughtful, alarming, and prayer messages on this in both English (as well as in Asian, and Hebrew languages), such as:
– “Jewish prayer for no rape.”
– “Abusive bee.” “Bee pose,” “Queen bee,” “Bee wisdom,” and “Bee Sting”
– “Abusive spiritual teachers being arrested”
– “We are angelic”
– “I pray for diversity in the bee colony”
– “I pray for a well taught dog”
– “Goddess may the dog be happy”
– “Hashem [G-d] causes the generations to realize they are one”
– “Temple of the animist”
– “Freedom of religion.”
– “Kosher U.S.A. Government”
– “Thanks MD/DC Service Dog.”
There is more, but I couldn’t make out all of it.
There is a also a drawing of a girl in a sitting position with her knees up and sort of smiling.
What strikes me most in this are the numerous references to some sort of abuse, likely sexual with the references to things like prayer for no rape, abusive bee, bee sting, bee pose, and abusive spiritual teachers being arrested.
I feel very unsettled by this, like someone is in trouble and this is a call for help from the community.
All the identification with religion, spirituality, and G-d make this even more significant in terms of the spiritual questioning and perhaps confusion from it all.
Also, is this person disabled/blind–note the reference to the service dog.
I hope that this person(s) are okay and that if they are in danger and need help: go immediately to your parents, the police, school authorities, or a social worker.
People in the community care, and especially G-d hears your prayers.
Whoever might be hurting you needs to be dealt with by the authorities, and please G-d, you will be alright. 😉

So this is the graffiti on the wall of the ladies bathroom in Barnes and Noble.
My wife said to make sure everyone knows that she took the photo and not me (uh, that would be awkward).
I can’t make out all the graffiti on the wall, but the one in the center says:
“True love isn’t something made up in stories or books. It exists truly, if you believe truly, and truly fight for it. Real love is magic.”
Another one talks about “Gonzales” who is the most beautiful man.
And yet one more…
“I wish I knew how to tell my boyfriend I love him.”
Let me just be frank that the Graffiti in men’s bathrooms is nothing, nothing like this.
It’s more obscene, uses lots of 4 letter words, and has women’s first names and phone numbers.
Why do women write and profess their love for men on bathroom walls, while men seem to think and express themselves in far more graphic terms–and why do this while in the stinkin’ bathroom?
I think this may make for some interesting gender studies for someone out there.
From a technology perspective, I think if people are going to insist on thinking and fantasizing in the public bathroom, perhaps we need some white boards or monitors that you can write and erase from–that way at least we can make room for the next guy/gal to write their truly’s next. 😉

Someone here did…it’s covered bumper to bumper!
Wonder if this car also is one of those self-driving cars…so it’s real special inside and out.
This car can be yours if the Price is Right…no that’s a different show.

Took this photo today in Washington, D.C.
Someone drew this funny face on a USPS Priority Postal Sticker.
But the top was ripped off…ouch!
And so it ends up looking like he’s screaming that somebody ripped off/open the top of his peabrain head.
I love a little creativity…where’s my fix? 😉

These were two photos that I took downtown today.
Both photos represent contrasts of the reality with life in the city.
The first was a car junked-up and sitting on the sidewalk. It was quite out of place in front of the neat rowhouses and otherwise nicely manicured street.
The second was the “free samples” tray of delicious Pumpkin Munchkins at Dunkin’ Donuts with all the samples gone–empty–nothing there.
Perhaps, if we put these together in a storyline then it’s simple…someone wrecked their car, put grafitti all over it in some sort of artistic or social statement, made their way over to DD and in their anxiety ate up all the free munchkins, and left only a short while later to get over to the car dealship to look for a new set of wheels.
That’s a pretty full day even in Washington, D.C. 😉

I took this photo this week in downtown Washington, D.C.
A U.S. Postal Service priority mail sticker stuck onto a pole with a picture of ice cream–2 scoops–with dollar signs on them. And an eye in a pyramid on the lower left.
I am not sure whether the mail sticker was just a part of the grafitti here or whether someone was trying to make a statement about the financial state-of-affairs of the Postal Service–losing money–and the loses stacking up over time, as the watchful eye of Government looks on.
I love getting mail like everyone else–except bills and junk mail.
But with a multitude of technology (email, texts, and so on) replacing traditional paper mail–the Post Office needs a new business model.
How about a serious focus on package delivery (for all the e-Commerce ordering we are doing)?
Or then again, would anyone mind an ice cream counter in every post office to make some happy faces and real money? 😉
