Vampire Slayer

So can you believe they actually have this?

It’s a vampire killing kit that was really for sale in the 19th century.

These kits were developed and sold by entrepreneur, Professor Ernst Blomberg.

People were afraid of the blood-sucking beasts, especially in Eastern Europe.

And so when they traveled, they came prepared.

– Dagger with a ghoulish-looking skeleton for a handle

– Pistol along with several silver bullets

– Wooden stake to thrust into its evil heart

– Cross and Holy Water (or perhaps a Star of David for the Jewish version of the kit) to repel them

Of course, we don’t have any evil bloodsucking creatures these days, do we?

I have a feeling that a lot of people would like to have a kit like this for self-defense to keep the 21st-century version of these bad actors away.

You think the NRA would be interested in making something like this. 😉

Duck The Bullet

Firing Squad.jpeg

So I learned that there are at least 2 things to be mindful of when it comes to a firing squad:

1. Never get between a man and his firing squad — sometimes, the judgment has already been passed, the victim blindfolded and tied, the trigger(s) already pulled back and the victim is too far gone to save.  Don’t step in front of the bullet!

2. When it is a circular firing squad, rise above it! — when people are engaged in self-destructive, internal disputes, recriminations, and taking pot shots at each other,  you need to either duck or rise above the fray and be the bigger man/woman.

Shooting the messenger, the interventionist, or each other just leaves a lot of spilt blood.

Save yourself and stay focused and determined to fight for the issue, when others are simply determined to take someone out back and put the bullet through their head. 😉

The Guardian Angel Handbag

Gun Purse Gun Purse Warning
So I took this photo of a Guardian Angel Handbag in Florida.

Back in New York starting in the 1970s, the Guardian Angels were a crime patrol often of martial arts practitioners that rode the dark graffitied trains and stood on the corners in dangerous neighborhoods…they eventually went viral in over 130 chapters around the world.

The handbags of same name are made by Dutch label Vlieger & Vandam and are designed with images of engraved guns or large knives.

The tag stitched inside the bag comes with a warning:

“This is an original Guardian Angel. Do not use it for self-defence purposes. The Weapon feature at the front is fake. To avoid any problems: Do not take this bag on a plane as hand luggage and do not take this bag to the bank to pick up cash. Please do enjoy it!”

When you see the bag, you’ve got to ask yourself is a person bold enough to wear a bag like this also is packing one too?

As they say, never show or threaten to use a weapon unless you are really ready to use it.

So is it a bluff, a fashion statement, or is the person really carrying and very dangerous–care to find out? 😉
