Super Cufflinks

If you’ve got to wear cufflinks then they might as well be Superman Cufflinks!

These will definitely make you feel special.

Maybe like a quasi Superhero.

Some may think you’re a little arrogant and all that.

But maybe you just are hoping to be super at whatever you do.

It’s good to have an imagination and aspiration, and maybe a little sense of humor and fun.

As long as you don’t let it go to your head or to your pompous a**. 😉

That Smug Face, Evil Haman

That Smug Face, Evil Haman.

Reclining back with legs crossed.

Know-it-all, interrupting others rudely.

Abusive, hurtful words.

Violent, loud, aggressive actions.

Narcissist, my way or the highway.

For their power and desires only.

They believe that might makes right.

In every generation, they rise to perpetuate suffering on others.

But G-d stands supreme.

He will evoke his judgment and rain His fiery wrath on the oppressive, evil, and haughty.

And He will restore good over evil in the world.

His faithful will praise His holy name forever.

They Really Think They Deserve It

Sometimes I come across people with enormous wealth and power.

Many wield it like they own it and deserve it.

I wonder sometimes with billions of other people in the world without adequate food, water, plumbing, medicine, or a solid roof over the heads, how the mighty can think they are above it all.

Do they look around–do they see anyone else but themselves?

They seem drunk with themselves and what they have–and very overconfident.

Worshipping self and all the honor and materialistic success–they forget where it comes from and what they are supposed to be doing with it to help others.

Yet, G-d and His angels can strike in but a split second.

Those that are high and mighty can be brought low and those that are in the depths of despair can be uplifted.

But at the will of G-d Almighty.

At the top, people may erroneously think and come to believe that they are smarter or more deserving–and so what’s theirs is theirs for the taking and keeping.

They think “To hell” with everyone else–they are the little people.

Perhaps, they even come to enjoy squashing them underfoot.

They really believe and savor the power and even think it’s forever.

Yet the wheel of life turns and often abruptly–illness, accidents, misfortune…it comes seemingly from nowhere when G-d breaths justice.

How silly of the powerful and wealthy to think they are the untouchable and the forever mighty.

G-d sees the good and the bad in the people–and ultimately, there is no escape from the King of Kings.

Wealth and power are earthly and fleeting, but the will of G-d is all that endures.

Satisfied and Bless G-d

Fancy Car.jpeg

I loved Chabad Rabbi Schneur Kaplan’s speech today in synagogue.

It was about how we can learn to be happy with what we have in life.

The biggest marketing gimmick is to say to the guy, “Look at what your neighbor has next door!”

Jealousy, desire, greed, having more and better than the next guy/girl…

That’s what many people live for and how they think.

Some can have as much as the founders of Apple, Google, and Facebook combined and still it’s not enough.

If just one person has something more…it can drive that person crazy.

Like Haman on Purim, who had wealth, power, large family and everyone bowed down to him…

Except one person named Mordecai who wouldn’t bow.

And despite having everything, but missing that one thing drove Haman so crazy–it was his downfall!

When we eat, we can be satisfied with one slice of pizza and say grace or we can have four slices and still not be satisfied.

How do we look at things?

We can be grateful for whatever we have and say that G-d gave us just what we needed at this time and place.

Or we can look at what we don’t have, and forever be bitter and unsatisfied.

What joy we can experience in life when we realize the graciousness for what G-d has bestowed on us and we are thankful for what we have. 😉

Sharing The Loaf

Love.jpeg

So I am continuing to learn so much about who is good and who is not so good.

Some people are literally so amazing–giving and caring of others–if they literally have just a single loaf of bread, they will share that willingly with others.

– Their perspective in grounded in a faith that whatever they have, they see it as a gift from G-d and it is only given to them as an opportunity to do good with it.

Then there are others that no matter how much they seem have–and it could be millions of $$$–yet they still can’t stand to see others with even half a mouthful of bread.

– In their narcissistic view, what’s theirs is exceedingly and deservingly theirs, and what’s yours, they believe should also be theirs!

Yet sometimes we misjudge people out of fear or just not knowing enough about them.

We don’t know which category they fall into.

Will they give you the shirt off their back or would they rip the shirt off you blind?

These are some of the challenges we face when confronting others in this scary world of souls being perfected and those that are still all too sullied.

But the righteous will inherit the earth and more importantly, the Heavens…because the truth becomes known and is always absolutely clear to The One Above–and the evil ones, they will wither and die.
