Worth The Squeeze

I like this saying that I heard.

“The juice has to be worth the squeeze.”

It’s a little like the corollary to “If something is worth doing, then it’s worth doing right.”

Spending time and effort has to show commensurate results or why the heck are you doing it?

Probably always good to reevaluate where you’re getting the “most bang for the buck,” so you’re not “just spinning your wheels.”

With all the sayings about what we do and whether it’s really worth it, there is probably some good reason to be concerned about whether or not you spending your time productively or just acting insane, because:

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Results matter–so make sure your achieving them or go do something else you enjoy and that’s ultimately worth the squeeze! 😉

Fruit Juice Want Some

Cartoon Juice
I took this photo in the supermarket.

It is of these Good 2 Grow juice bottles for kids with cartoon sip tops.

Everyone from Ninja Turtles to Scooby Doo is here on the shelf.

And peeping out in the middle from the back is none other than SpongeBob SquarePants.

I guess if I were still a kid holding hands with my mom coming down the aisle, I would stop right here and start yelling and jumping up and down for these.

Juice Smuice…I just like these fun, happy cartoon characters. 😉

Cooling Your Juices

Cooling Your Juices

So I’ve heard of someone “cooling their heels”–i.e. taking some time to calm down.

But in D.C., what some do on a chilly morning is cooling their juices.

Maybe the refrigerator is overstuffed or broken, but I suppose this works too.

This may be especially convenient if you have a couch and TV next to the window and you can just reach out and grab a cold one.

Although for those walking down the street, watch out for those occasional falling juice bottles–cold or not, they can ruin your otherwise totally normal day in the Capital. 😉
