Everyone Loves A Good Massage Chair

What can you say, when you see these luxurious, zero gravity, massage chairs?

Yes, ah, that feels so good!

Seriously, you know you want to try it.

Yes, you do.

And you even want to take one home.

Costco’s got these.

You’ve seen others at Sharper Image at the Mall.

They’re not cheap.

This one was like $4,299.

Can you resist the urge to splurge on the ultimate in comfort and relaxation?

Take off your shoes. close your eyes, let yourself drift away.

It’s a better place. 😉

Going For A Healing

Oxygen Bar
So my wife tricked me today…

First day in Santa Fe and there was so much to see.

By afternoon, my wife said she was tired and wanted to stop in an “Oxygen Bar.”

Good Jewish boy from the Bronx, what do I know from Oxygen Bars?

So they had these cool health tonics, soothing music, beautiful artwork, oxygen therapy, and…

In the back, they did healing treatments!

So my wife tells me I should do this.

Ah, why do I want to spend money on healing treatments?

She jumps up, goes over and talks to the owner, and comes back and says “Okay honey, she is going to give you a sampler.”

A what!

I hem and haw, but my wife doesn’t take no for an answer, so I reluctantly go to try it.

Well…

I really enjoyed it.

From spa-type treatments to spiritual healing.

I had a smorgasbord of some light massage/reflexology, oils, sprays, rocks, branches and leaves, warm wet cloths, figure eights with a dream catcher, angels and animal spirits, and even prayers said.

The very nice Jewish owner, Kadima Levanah, spoke about releasing your energy, having compassion on yourself, doing your best, starting anew, and having a full healing.

By the end, I was smiling and feeling a lot more stress free–even though my wife tricked me like usual! 😉

Feeling Groovy

Feeling Groovy

So some colleagues at work told me about getting a Swedish Massage.

I listened to how it helps them with aches and pains as well as to just relax.

One guy mentioned that he tried a couples massage with his wife and it was really awesome as an event together.

Not that I thought in a million years that I would ever get a massage myself, but going away with my honey, this seemed like just the right thing to do.

We ended up at the spa in the Westin and had the most relaxing massage that I could ever imagine.

Some lemonade, calm music, dim lights, and a view of the ocean made it just perfect for us.

I realized where some new pain points for me were, how important a little work-life balance can be, and could only say, “What other times are you available this week?”

Uh oh, I think I’m hooked.

OMG–thank you, but maybe I should’ve never tried it (it’s an expensive habit)! 😉
