Nice Coat!

Just wanted to share this awesome coat by Paris designer, Yves Saint Laurent.

The colors are so standout, and the plushness is amazing from head to toe…beautiful.

The label is a little fuzzy, but I think the original price on this was over $30,000!

And even at deep discount it’s close to 10 grand!

I wonder if it’s real fur?  😉

Shabbat Shalom!

Fav Ice Cream

So this is one of my absolute favorite ice creams.

Soft chocolate swirl ice cream topped in a hard chocolate shell that literally melts in your mouth.

OMG, this is to die for.

This is not something you get every day…it’s a special treat.

They have this ice cream locally in the mall, and sometimes I just go there, literally, just a taste of this.

Usually, I get the small and then share this, but even that is too much really.

It is like a meal in and of itself.

So rich, creamy, cold, and chocolatey flavorful.

Who needs caramel (sitting next to it) when you have chocolate!

Love it, love it, love it.

Yum, yum, yum.  😉

The Nicest Blossoms Ever

So I almost never do this.

Posting about the same thing twice in a short period.

But this is an exception.

The Cherry Blossoms this year are the nicest I have ever seen them.

Hopefully, this is a sign of blessings from G-d.

The world is blossoming and hopefully so is our fortune.

May G-d have mercy on the good people. 😉

What’s With The Water

Water.jpeg

At this time of some major hurricanes hitting the USA (first Harvey, and now approaching IRMA and Jose)…

I have been remembering from the other day when I was in the pool, but I had a very different experience from usual.

Yes, I was swimming hard and disciplined doing my laps.

But my mind decided to focus on the water.

Just the water…nothing else.

I literally blanked out the world around me…no pool, no exercise, no other people, no current events, no random thoughts.

I just put all my senses unto the water itself.

The cool softness of the water as it glided over my hands and body.

The subtle resistance of the water, yet the buoyancy it provided.

The waves and current as the water flowed around my body moving crisply through it.

The healing purity of the water physically and spiritually.

I imagined the clearest and cleanest water, and how it quenches our thirst and washes everything in the world clean again.

Water, earth, wind and fire…the wisdom and perfection of them and us cannot possibly be random events, but they are testament to the genius of our Creator.

Thank you G-d especially for the water in the time, place, and amount that is for a blessing–and as a series of strong hurricanes continue to roar towards your people, let it be merciful.

The Softer Side of Trump

CIC.jpeg

So Trump has gotten a lot of flack.

Some of it is deserved for saying the wrong things or saying them too harshly.

Some of it is because of the biased Media and the political machine that would seek to bury any opponent with truth or lies, it doesn’t really matter when it comes to power!

But with Trump, one question that people are asking–which is a fair one–is why doesn’t he soften it up now…especially since he has overcome all the odds, the media, the elite, and Hillary’s potent political machine?

Peggy Noonan asks today, why doesn’t Trump “go to a series of schools, bring the press, and speak to children, telling them that he has nothing in his heart but the desire to do good and help people”?

Others, like the editorial board of the New York Times have called for Trump to “denounce the hate…[and] unequivocally repudiate…racist, sexist, xenophobic, Anti-Semitic, and homophobic insults, threats, and attacks.”

While in my mind, I do not believe that Trump is those things–I think he has been misunderstood, mischaracterized, taken out of context, and even demonized; yet, I ask myself why doesn’t he come out and simply build on his 60-minutes interview where he told people, “Don’t be afraid. We are going to bring America back. But certainly, don’t be afraid.”

It’s a simple thing to go further from this and tell people that he is understanding and compassionate to everyone, that he harbors no ill will to anyone, and that he wants to advance the country for all our benefits.

So I am sure, the haters on the left are saying, that Trump doesn’t do this because obviously he really is all those bad things, and means bad by all those people, and therefore, he doesn’t say those coexistence and loving things, because that’s not what’s in his heart!

But I am not convinced.

I think Trump is hard, because he has learned to be hard. That’s his idea of what it takes to win. He is a fighter. He believes in winning. He doesn’t apologize or grovel. He represents as his slogan, “Peace through strength!”

In fighting, Trump will do what it takes to “Make America Great Again,”–he will take down his enemies and ours, wherever they come at us from, but I believe always with an eye on the benefits to this country and for us.

If he goes after good people (and those here legally) that would certainly be the time to call him out, and to do it in no uncertain terms.

Bias, bigotry, and hate have NO place in this country (or the world)!

The left needs to stop denouncing Trump and all his supporters as racist, deplorables, irredeemables, etc. It is simply not true; it is biased and hateful itself, and counterproductive to moving this country forward.

Crying wolf only dilutes the message of denouncing extremism, bigoty, and hate from when it is genuinely founded, and moreover, as in labeling theory, hate only begets hate.

I say give Trump a genuine chance, even though I doubt many of the extremists on the left will give him anything near as much as the endless slack it gave Obama who could essentially do no wrong, ever (and regardless of how many things were falling apart in this country and around the globe).

Still I agree that Trump should soften up–even as a fighter–he needs to show Ying and Yang and that the fight is ultimately one founded in integrity and not just winning. 😉

A Person’s Beauty

Hair.JPEG

I took this photo yesterday of a mannequin that shows off her hair.

It’s amazing what hair does for a person.

I remember learning in Yeshiva that hair is considered the crown on a person’s head.

People go through all sorts of time and expense to keep their hair, grow it out, clean it, and style it.

Often not having hair means that person is sick and on heavy doses of medication or chemotherapy that makes their hair fall out.

People put on wigs or other head coverings for religious piety, modesty, and to consecrate themselves to G-d and/or their beloved–so that only they should see it–as something special between them.

Sometimes, a person’s hair is cut off to dehumanize them like the Nazi’s did to the Jews and as happens to other prisoners.

Also, when people go to the military, they are given a crew cut to take away their hair and individuality while they learn to conform and be obedient to their chain of command.

Often in fights, people grab and pull a person by their hair to control and hurt them.

But mostly, hair is soft, sensual and looks good on a person (except when it doesn’t)–generally, it evokes youth, vibrance, freedom, and sexuality.

Of course beauty is only skin deep, but the hair is truly the majestic crown that G-d gave us. 😉

Fashionistas Oh Mista

Armani
I found this gorgeous picture on Facebook.

I believe this model on the runway is wearing Armani.

The green dress is overflowing with beautiful ruffles, accented only by a black belt.

As the model walks down the black and white runway, the whole outfit just seems to pop with soft texture and sheer eloquence.

I showed it to my daughter and she was hesitant about it, thinking that the green color made her look like a tree and surrounding foliage.

I can see her point–maybe a nice sky blue or candy pink would be better…I think all three on stage would be amazing! 😉
