So you really don’t want a deer ending up on the grill of your car.
Not good for the deer (dead meat!) and not good for your car.
My daughter and son-in-law just gave me Deer Warning Whistles.
They are supposed to emit ultrasonic sound waves that warn the deer away.
Anything that keeps the deer away is welcome in my neck of the woods. 😉

Please see my new article in The Times of Israel called, “ The Beauty of Words.”
Before Amos Oz could read the words themselves (by sounding our the letters), he learned to read by shapes! A mazingly, he saw the words in a whole new way. The “S” in “Snake” looks like a snake. Similarly the “F” in “Flag” looks like a flag on a pole. Again, an “eye” looks like a pair of eyes with the bridge of a nose between them.
“Language arts” really is an art that is poetic in sound, meaningful in thought, and even beautiful to look at–no different than a work of art by Picasso or Mozart. 😉

OMG, this is awesome.
This Lily Camera Drone is “throw and go” and simply lands in your hand.
You can set it to follow you–almost like a guardian angel– or to lead you where you need to go.
Records video, sound, can do slow motion, and takes photos.
It has a tracking device.
Awesome for extreme sports or personal surveillance.
Would like to be able to communicate with it by voice command, and also see what it sees and hear what it hears with augmented reality glasses or on a smartphone or wearable.
Finally, if only it would come with a laser to zap anybody or anything bad that may come at us–that could be reassuring.
Costs = $619 and ships in May 2016.
That was easy. 😉

Promising technology coming from Israeli startup Voiceitt.
Chosen by Wall Street Journal global technology conference as an audience favorite application.
This technology will help the disabled who have trouble speaking to effectively communciate with others.
The application translates sounds and intonation patterns into words that can be understood.
Victims of Stroke, Parkinsons, ALS, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism may benefit from this.
The founder of the technology himself has two siblings with Cerebral Palsy and he is driven to personally address their challenges.
Application is expected to be released 2nd quarter 2015.
To me, it is especially encouraging when we use technology to help the disabled live a fuller and more comfortable life.
Life is tough enough on people the way it is already, so if we can help make things better for those who are disadvantaged in any way, what a great, great thing to do! 😉
