Some street art just makes you stop and say wow!
This mural on the side of a building in Philadelphia is just amazing.
It takes a regular street (even next to an abandoned lot) and makes it eye-popping.
Some people seem to walk by and not even notice.
I’m not sure how. 😉

Ran into this lady in South Florida.
Couldn’t help but notice the nails.
She told me she’s been growing them like this for 29 years!
I asked if she had any difficulty typing, driving, or anything.
And she told me she does everything with them.
No, I don’t think that I want to touch these things.
I’m only getting as close as the camera. 😉

Great sign at the nut stand at Sugarloaf Festival.
“This Is What You Smell!”
Hot cinnamon pecans or almonds.
Wow, did that smell nice.
I got a tiny bag of the pecans, and when I opened it, the smell and taste that hot cinnamon really took over.
Were there other smells present as well?
Probably, but I chose to focus on the cinnamon nuts.
The other smells will have to wait for their special sign and appropriate attention to deal with it. 😉

Just wanted to share this really beautiful yellow and flowered teapot.
Love all the shapes–the pyramid base, the curly spout, the circular handle, and the little round ball at the top.
Like most nice things, it’s too beautiful to actually use.
(Almost like a million outfits in my closet that I never wear, because I don’t want to mess them up…)
This is where design trumps functions–and I would rather look at this and enjoy it as art more than drinking another cup of tea! 😉

I thought this art was funny and accurate:
There’s always one in every family.
Really, it should be there is always one (or two) in every family, group, and organization.
Whether it’s the upside down bird or the “black sheep”–I think we call it that person a troublemaker!
Is it the attention they crave?
Is it a good fight or argument they are after?
Are they just different and that’s okay.
Listen, we are all the same, but we’re also all different.
Imagine being completely the same and how boring that would be.
So being the upside bird isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
The other birds may look at this upside down bird as cuckoo.
But the bird may not be a cuckoo bird at all.
He may just be acting himself.
To the upside down bird, he probably thinks of himself as being right side up bird, and that it’s the other birds that are the cuckoos.
From my experience, there is being different and then there is being cuckoo for real.
There really are one or more cuckoos just about everywhere you look.
Worse yet, if the other 4 birds are sane, then watch out because you may be the cuckoo bird.
And then there was the movie, “One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” 😉

Just wanted to share this awesome coat by Paris designer, Yves Saint Laurent.
The colors are so standout, and the plushness is amazing from head to toe…beautiful.
The label is a little fuzzy, but I think the original price on this was over $30,000!
And even at deep discount it’s close to 10 grand!
I wonder if it’s real fur? 😉

So I never saw square trees until I visited Palm Beach, Florida.
What’s the saying:
“It’s hip to be square!”
I definitely had to take a doubletake when I saw these.
Wherever we were going, I was gonna stop and get a photo of this.
These trees are almost as if they are from another planet.
What planet would have square trees?

This is an risque t-shirt this lady is wearing.
It’s a big nutrition label.
And she’s wrapped in it!
I’m not sure if this is a gag or fashion statement or even a sexual thing.
Is she advertising that she’s like the food?
What was really funny though is by her butt…it says
“Moschino chocolate tastes good.”
Maybe that should be a black box warning!

So this was the entranceway to a store in Florida.
As you can see, the center mannequin is set up sitting in not a very modest way for a lady.
And worse, there is a little boy mannequin situated right next to her.
It was funny to see people stop to look at this fake sexual scene.
But no amount of sexuality could sell the junk that the store was pushing.
So strutting your stuff or showing a little skin–or in this case hard plastic–may get the customer’s attention or even in the store.
However, it certainly doesn’t close the deal, although something else here would be better off shut or as my mother-in-law says, “close your yap!” 😉
