Aging Is A Process

Aging.jpeg

This guy was a hoot on the Metro in Washington, D.C.

His shirt says:

“With age comes oldness.”

Ah, yeah!

When he was sitting, he had his arms crossed over his chest, and I thought it said:

“With age, comes baldness.”

That too!

Getting old is not easy.

Being young is not easy either.

But it’s really how you handle yourself during every stage and turn in life that defines who you are and what you become as an person and a creation of G-d.

You’ve got to get up and walk the dance through thick and thin…life bring old age and oldness…what’s the alternative. 😉

Memorial Day Stars and Stripes

Flag.jpeg

Loved this lady’s sweater of the American Flag.

So cool with the stars on the sleeve like that.

I thought this was especially nice for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.

As we remember those that have sacrificed so much, and the many that have fallen making the ultimate sacrifice, so that all we could be free.

“In the olden days,” they used to say America was the “goldene medina”–the golden country–the land of opportunity!

But really, the gold itself is just fools gold, the real greatness of being here is the freedom to be who you are and to have the human rights and protections to pursue whatever your dreams are.

Maybe that’s what the stars on the flag are really all about–we can all reach for the stars–whatever stars we want–and many will actually be able to achieve the impossible. 😉

People Nutrition

Nutrition.jpeg

This is an risque t-shirt this lady is wearing.

It’s a big nutrition label.

And she’s wrapped in it!

I’m not sure if this is a gag or fashion statement or even a sexual thing.

Is she advertising that she’s like the food?

What was really funny though is by her butt…it says

“Moschino chocolate tastes good.”

Maybe that should be a black box warning!

Uh, this is way too much information for me. 😉

Tznius Police

Tzniut.jpeg

So there is an important concept in Judaism as well as other religions of modesty for the sexes.

This means appropriately covering up in dress and acting modestly.

In Hebrew, we call it Tznius!

As kids, I remember the kids used to sing, “Tznius, don’t show you knee-ius.”

It seems like these days, “everything goes,” where extreme sexuality in public and showing off is the rage.

But as I remember the older generation saying, “Maybe some things are better left to the imagination.”

That doesn’t mean we need to be a bunch of prudes–inhibit or prohibit people from being who they are.

Freedom means everyone is allowed and has a fundamental right to self-expression.

But also, people that want to show more restraint and modesty can do that too.

Perhaps, sometimes things in our society can get a little too superficial, where like and love is only skin deep.

We forget the inner person and the soul in lieu of momentary pleasures of the flesh.

I don’t think we need the tznius police to come out and tell us what to do, but rather that we need to be consider people inside and out for what and who they really are. 😉

Sushi Socks Dating

Sushi Socks.jpeg

So this is a novel way to sell socks.

Roll them up and package them like a sushi roll.

Socks are the colors and textures of various fish.

Not sure why anyone would want socks that mimic sushi…

Unless of course, you feet stink like raw fish!

My wife knows this true story about this one girl that I dated before I met her, and she came over to my parents house and was waiting for me.

When I got there, she was sitting on the couch and her shoes were off.

It was after a long day at work apparently, and her feet smelled worse than any fish I could imagine.

Literally, I think I could’ve passed out right there on the floor.

Date was over and quick, and I never forget those sushi feet. 😉

Flying Sneaks

Flying Sneaks.jpeg

We can all fly.

Not necessarily through the air.

But through life and ultimately in death, we can fight and take flight and soar.

It is our attitude and determination to overcome the hardest of hardships that we face.

We feel the pain for the situations where we fell, failed, and lost control over outcomes.

People who told us what they thought we are and where we can go…our ego busted, our shame written all over us, our regret and fear over what we did or should’ve done differently.

We can’t go back.

We can only go forward.

We can learn, and we can grow.

We can compartmentalize the problems and hurt.

We can pick up the pieces wiser than before and more determined to succeed.

Wings are not just for angels, but also for sneakers and for souls.

I want to fly all around the world, and more so into the heavens to see my Heavenly father and be reunited for eternity with my family and loved ones.

Fly free and wide.

Fly high and unobstructed by poverty, illness, abuse, and loneliness.

Fly and soar beyond anything we could ever have imagined. 😉

Graffiti Blood Fashion

graffiti-fashion-jpeg

Thought this was a really cool fashion design skirt that I saw in Neiman Marcus.

Aside from all the colors, the design is just eye-taking.

Almost like graffiti on a skirt!

Hey, I think that would make a great business for someone(s) by the way.

Give me a call…and we’ll start it up and make a $ billion–I hope!

Seriously, this skirt is so interesting with a scare theme of monsters, heart, teeth, and blood.

But the fright is quickly turned into envious fashion style as a complete standout item.

Gorgeous design and style, and I definitely see a fashion trend emerging here big time. 😉
