Gucci Shoes WOW!

So we’re down in Florida.

It’s pouring today, so we decide to go to Sawgrass Mills Mall.

When the rain let’s up, we decide to go outside to this one row of stores that is like designer row.

We went into Robert Graham, Ralph Lauren (the purple label), Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Gucci, and more.

We saw this nice Chasidic couple in Gucci.

He looked at me and me and him–he was buying his wife a gift and I was “window shopping” and taking some cool photos.

We gave each other the thumbs up.

The shoe here was from the Gucci store.

Pretty incredible, no?

It’s definitely a brand standout!

Nice job Gucci designers. 😉

Valentine’s Day Fashion Wow!

Now, how perfect is this guy’s suit?

I can’t imagine who would make such a thing, but WOW!

This guy is a walking Mr. Charming.

Forget the sales job in the jewelry store, I would put him right on the “The Bachelor” season whatever.

Who isn’t going to fall in love with this guy?

“Matchmaker matchmaker make me a match.
Find me a find.
Catch me a catch.”

Love wins over hate…

Happy Valentine’s Day!  😉

Israel Style

Today we walked around Tel Aviv and went to the Art Museum here and also the stores, grocery, and cafes.

What I really liked was seeing it up close and not from the back of a tour bus.

After just a day or so, I started to feel like I was really experiencing life here.

Crossing Menachem Begin Road, we ran into these fashion-conscious ladies.

The colorful clothes and hair, the tall blue shoes, the ripped leggings of the women on the left definitely stood out.

Juxtaposed is the lady on the right in the black dress, short haircut, bag, and glasses.

This pair was a standout!

In a way, I miss the Holy lifestyle of Jerusalem here in Tel Aviv, but at the same time, I like the cosmopolitan and modern life here too.

Anyway, I feel like I am learning a lot and enjoying experiencing culture and religion Israel-style.

Halloween DC Style

So Halloween in Washington, D.C. is no small deal.

I liked the new spooky Orange Fanta soda cans with the scary lady on it–it really stood out from all the others–Coke, Pepsi, etc.–that were otherwise so boring.

Then there was this other lady riding the Metro in her Halloween outfit–anybody need a nurse?

Let’s just say she seems to have evoked some attention on the train.

Even more than another women (lower left) holding 2 baby dolls slumped over backwards in a very unfortunate manner.

One more is Mr. Baywatch lifeguard here, and peering over his shoulder is someone with scary Zombie hallowed out black eyes and sharp growling teeth!

Finally, one of my wonderful colleagues told me about a Halloween party she went to with her male friend.

I asked whether they dressed up.

She said, “yeah,” and smiled.

So I asked, “What did you dress up as?”

Well this was a new one for me…

She was dressed up as the jelly side of the sandwich and he was the peanut butter side.

What all this means for this zany holiday, I have no idea…but it’s a fun time of year that doesn’t go unnoticed by anyone. 😉

Introducing The Valkyrie

valkyrie.jpeg

Wow, just loved this new Aston Martin called the Valkyrie!

If I had a spare $2.6 million laying around that no one needed, I’d definitely get one of these.

1,000 horsepower, V-12 engine, and they fit the car to you, literally!

“It’s a carbon fiber rocket” with an assisted electric motor for the environmentally conscious.

Here’s a link to some awesome images of this gorgeous “hypercar” (which reminds me of Elon Musk’s Hyperloop and it’s a thousand time better looking than the Tesla).

Fast, futuristic, performance, stylish, and sleek as can be.

I almost want to photoshop a picture of myself in the diver’s seat with a huge smile on my face as I wave and say see you later. 😉

Brighten Your Mondays

Bright.jpeg

So a colleague asked me why I wear bright, happy ties on Mondays.

Well, I explain, I guess it’s a combination of two reasons:

1) I’m starting the week all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed coming off the weekend energized and ready for a brand new and exciting week.

2) I’m trying to take what many consider “blue Mondays” and make them brighter and more cheerful for everyone.

– Smile and the whole world smiles with you!

So the other person responds, as if all the craziness of the office and organizational psychos during the week will somehow wear down my good cheer:

“So by the time you get to Fridays, what are you wearing black ties???”

I guess everyone knows the workweek is the workweek.

And they don’t call it work for nothing. 😉

@Takoma Park Folk Festival

Front.jpegBack.jpeg

So today we were at the Takoma Park Folk Festival.

It was a combination of food, chachkas, art, dance, and music–thank G-d, it was a good time!

When we were going through the booths, I came across this one artist pictured here.

A little scary looking at first, but actually seemed nice enough and he stopped to speak with us.

I asked about his very cool jacket.

And he told me, how he had actually made it with all the artistic things on it, including spikes, skulls, medals, patches, and even a pair of teeth!

Then he took off his jacket and turned around to show me his vest.

On the back was this awesome fighting foe.

I said feigning surprise:

“Oh, and it says RESIST on top?”

He replies:

“Yeah, never miss an opportunity to share a message!”

I thought to myself this guy is pretty smart, especially as he started to explain not only his jacket, but the meanings behind some of his other artwork.

Creativity is a wonderful thing–especially when no one gets hurt :-)–and it immediately sparks interest and dialogue.

How’d you do that?  What gave you that idea?  How do you use it?

The boring becomes exciting when another soul expresses itself.

Yes, we’re all the same, but also we’re all different!

It’s by “going there,” you explore and learn new things.  😉
