The Dog Diet

Funny story from a wonderful relative of mine…made me laugh during this coronavirus outbreak.

——————-

“I interrupt the COVID-19 pandemic to bring you this lil story…

Last night I went to Sam’s Club to buy a bag of food for my dogs.

Already in line, a woman behind me asked me if I had a dog.

I stare at her (those who know me will imagine my gaze 🤔😳) …but then why would I be buying dog food…right? 😝😝

So on impulse I told her no, that I didn’t have a dog, that I was starting the dog food diet again, and that I probably shouldn’t because I ended up in the hospital the last time, but 15 pounds less!

I told her that it was the perfect diet and that all you had to do is carry the kibbles in your pocket and eat one or two every time you feel hungry (I have to mention that practically everyone in line was interested in my story).

Frightened, the woman asks me if I ended up in the hospital because the dog food had poisoned me. I answered…of course not!

I was admitted because I bent down to smell the butt of a bulldog and I was hit by a truck 😂😂😂

I thought the man behind her was going to have a heart attack…he was laughing so hard!

…Let’s continue promoting reading! 😁

I have to confess…I posted this to make you smile. It’s your turn to copy/paste it and make someone else laugh.

We need to laugh more! Have a GREAT DAY😄😄😄”

The United Nations At Work For You!

In case you wondered why the United Nations is always so full of sh*t?

– When the U.N. is done aimlessly sitting around watching on the sidelines while weapons of mass destruction proliferate, millions are being killed, maimed or made into refugees, and genocide and war crimes are occurring…

– When the U.N. is done elevating dictators, sponsors of terrorism, and human rights abusers…

– When the U.N. is done denigrating and making endless anti-Semitic resolutions against the democratic and Holy Land of Israel…

– When the U.N. is done laughing at the President of the United States and his accomplishments…

This is what the UNjust United Nations spends our valuable time and dollars on.

This photo of a U.N. garbage truck say it all.

Perhaps, this is the only thing that the U.N. is actually good at!

(Thank you to a good friend for forwarding this photo to me)

Things Look Different Up Close

So this was interesting.

I was coming up the highway.

In the distance, there looked like there was a large tractor-trailer heading towards me.

I had to take a double take, because this truck was on my side of the divider…Oh shit!

It was only as I got closer that I could see that the truck was really being towed in reverse by a tow truck.

Yes, “seeing is believing!”

This is a lesson in life:

Things may look one way from a distance, and very different up close.

Sometimes, my wife tells me:

“Andy, don’t look too close!” lol

But the truth is that you may not really see what you heading towards until it’s right in front of your eyes.

So it’s important to look out over the horizon and study what is coming your way.

But don’t take your eye off the ball (or Mack Truck as it may be).

Things can change your perspective the closer you get to it. 😉

The Love Truck

Ok, the title of this blog may not be the best.

Some may associate the “Love Truck” with human trafficking or something horrible.

But this truck in Washington D.C. really fitted the name with messages on the windows and sides like:

Love not hate.
Peace on planet Earth.
One race, the human race.
Left, right, make America unite again through love.
2 wrongs don’t make it right.
Stop bombing, start educating.
Smile, life is short.
Be kind to your fellow man.

I almost got to wonder what’s on the other side of this truck???

Anyway, I know it’s more than kind of kooky to graffiti up your own vehicle this way, but I still rather see these messages and actions than those of hate and violence in this world.

Happy Friday folks!  😉

Great New Kosher Food In Washington DC

So nice to meet this impressive young Jewish women today, Carly.

A Sophomore at GW University, who had the brainchild for more and better kosher food options in Washington, D.C.

Hence, Brooklyn Sandwich Company food truck.

The kids are lining up for their whole brisket sandwiches on a pretzel bun with broccoli slaw and many other kosher sandwich and soup treats.

This is awesome opportunity for some terrific kosher food in America’s capital.

Great job to Carly and Rabbi Yudi Steiner!  😉

Boarding 613

613.JPEG

So this was pretty amazing with the mystical number 613.

Today, it showed up on the arrivals board for the trains, and I literally had to run down the train platform to capture this photo after my daughter saw it in the distance from the escalator.

Under destination (DEST) and minutes (MIN) for wait, the first line says boarding (BRD)–although just a moment before it said arriving (ARR).

Then the next two lines has the trains arriving in 6 minutes and in 13 minutes, respectively.

Also note that this same morning I saw 613 twice more (for a total of 3 times) on the train car/doors and in the phone number for a truck parked in front of the grocery.

I am no prophet, but I believe that something important or perhaps cataclysmic is about to happen (“arriving”) in the world.

Interestingly enough, in 10 days is Passover–the redemption of the Jews from slavery in Egypt along with the giving of the 10 commandments (of the total 613) on Sinai.

Now is a good time for faith, devotion, and prayer–that is my feeling for what it’s worth. 😉

DC, The Cleanest City In The World

Gum
Check out what we have in Washington, DC…

Gum Busters–“chewing gum removal specialists”!

If we can get the gummies out of politics, imagine what we can accomplish.

Man, DC has got to be one of the cleanest cities in the world. 😉

Fire Truck Pride

Fire Truck
I love when I see the fire and rescue vehicles that proudly display the flag.

Not only are the people that do these jobs heroes in putting their own lives on the line to rescue and save others, but they are patriots as well.

It’s not only about the individuals they save, but also the country they serve.

In democracys, there is a value for freedom and human rights–where every individual matters.

That’s a country to take pride in and something worth risking life and limb for. 😉
