What’s The Big Fascination?

From Victoria’s Secret to colorful art renditions, medieval metal, and cross-dressing on the neighborhood corner…

This does not seem to be about being angels, unchaste, or even “sexy-wexy “(as I think my mother-in-law calls it).

So I really have to ask what is all the fascination about here?

Culturally, we seem to be a little OCD.

If Martians visited us, I don’t think they would understand us at all.

Frankly, I’m not sure that I do either!  😉

Touched By An Angel

Angel.jpeg

So the other night I dreamed.

And in the dream, an angel came to me and was over me as I lay down.

The angel had it’s finger pointing at my head in the right temple area.

The finger was all white and while I could feel it having a solid state, it was able to pass in a non-solid state, transparently through the surface and slightly into my head.

I felt pressure applied there and almost like a healing feeling.

The angel was pure white–like a holy marble, but not like marble.

It was majestic, slender, and tall.

It had white feathery wings that were taller than it’s body.

It’s face was like an adult, but also like a child–it was both.

Its feet were like a smooth and solid arch, and did not have toes.

The angel hovered over my upper body, head area, and was looking at me and touching my right temple–with care and love.

It was absolutely clear to me that the angel visiting me was my dear, dear father.

Although, I woke with a slight headache, I felt happy and at great peace by his visit.

The experience was caring, loving, holy and I was uplifted by it.

With his unbelievably pure and giving heart, it was beautiful to see my father as an angel–this was him all along. 😉

Flying Sneaks

Flying Sneaks.jpeg

We can all fly.

Not necessarily through the air.

But through life and ultimately in death, we can fight and take flight and soar.

It is our attitude and determination to overcome the hardest of hardships that we face.

We feel the pain for the situations where we fell, failed, and lost control over outcomes.

People who told us what they thought we are and where we can go…our ego busted, our shame written all over us, our regret and fear over what we did or should’ve done differently.

We can’t go back.

We can only go forward.

We can learn, and we can grow.

We can compartmentalize the problems and hurt.

We can pick up the pieces wiser than before and more determined to succeed.

Wings are not just for angels, but also for sneakers and for souls.

I want to fly all around the world, and more so into the heavens to see my Heavenly father and be reunited for eternity with my family and loved ones.

Fly free and wide.

Fly high and unobstructed by poverty, illness, abuse, and loneliness.

Fly and soar beyond anything we could ever have imagined. 😉

Hair Drying Contraption

Hair Dryer
Took this photo at the Salon of this hair drying contraption.

The arms actually moves up and down in this crazy arc over a person’s head…like butterfly wings flapping away drying from all positions and surfaces of your head.

Looks quite unnecessary, except that it probably makes the customer feel uh so special…having this unique machine working their hair all over (who the heck would have one of these at home).

Maybe it hovers off the ground and does little whirlies too!

In life, it is up to us to be discerning–what is necessary and real and what is just bluffery and showbusiness.

Yes, there is no business like show business and alien space hairdryers–that fits right in. 😉

Flying Under The Ocean

This is a cool video of a new experimental swimsuit called “oceanwings.”

Similar to wingsuits for BASE jumping (skydiving), oceanwings have underarm and between the leg wings or spans of material that essentially gives a person float.

With oceanwings, instead of flying through the sky, you can fly through the water.

They are made by Aqua Lung which makes and sells professional and recreational scuba diving equipment.

For someone that loves the water, oceanwing diving looks beautiful, calming, and a heck of a lot of fun.

Not sure in the video, how the guy is breathing under water (since they don’t seem to show any sort of air tank), but maybe he is just going on bated breath. 😉

Butterflies In The Summer

These are two pictures of beautiful butterflies that I took today while hiking.

The first is a black and white butterfly with some gold accents–it’s wings were enormous and it is spread over multiple leaves–it sort of reminds me of Batman.

The second was gold and black with a double wing and a mosaic like pattern–almost like Tiffany glass.

It was amazing see these beautiful creatures up close and actually I was surprised that they stayed still long enough for me to get near enough to snap these photos.

On a hot, lazy day on the Shenandoah River, maybe they gave me this one.

Thank you G-d for the magnificent beauty of the creatures and the Earth that you provide to us.
