EMP Attack–>Danger, Danger, Danger

Saw the Movie E.M.P. over the weekend.

Everyone needs to see this!

The explosion of a nuke(s) in the atmosphere over the country causes an electromagnetic pulse that fries all our electronics.

Nothing would work!!!

Think cyberattack on steroids with everything out of commission and basically little to no chance of recovery.

Prognosis is for mass riots, starvation, and illness that wipes out most of the population.

Easy then for the enemy to swoop in and conquer the country with no resistance and the basic infrastructure still intact for them to build on.

Just having mutually assured destruction is not enough!

We need to genuinely be able to counter these threats and not just say: “You’ll die if we die.”

How stupid and immature is that thinking?

There are more than a share of radical nuts out there who don’t care if they die as long as they take us down.

These are the threats we need to pay attention to before…before…before…it’s too late. 😉

Training Them To Be Like Us

So I saw this in the supermarket.

This kid was pushing the shopping cart with groceries in it.

And a little sign at the top that says:

Customer in Training

His mom is nearby with the big shopping cart full of even more groceries.

It’s interesting how we teach our kids to be just like us and at the same time to be not like us.

They emulate some things and they reject others.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

But no two apples are the same either.

Teaching is an important component of parenting and schooling.

We need to impart important lessons from the past, so children don’t have to recreate the wheel in the present and future.

But spitting out little clones is not helpful to innovation and the engine of “what’s next.”

Sometimes, I envision that there is a really big war–maybe World War III–nukes are used and all our bits and bytes are wiped out, and we are thrown back to the Stone Age.

All the teaching is evaporated in the vapor of the blasts.

All that’s left in what’s in the soul of the remaining. 😉

We Broke The Weather

Weather.jpeg

So my friend who lives in FL and recently experienced the crazy hurricanes down there said something very interesting to me.

This was during the series of numerous recent hurricanes in just a few weeks period of time, including Harvey, IRMA, and Maria that devastated Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico.

He said to me:

“We broke the weather!”

And after decades of warning about the impact of global warming–maybe he is right.

This last September was the most active month for Atlantic hurricanes ever on record.

Further, we are seeing simultaneously the deadliest wildfires raging in California in its history.

This only 13 years after the deadliest Tsunami from the Indian Ocean in recorded times killing about a quarter million people!

And only 28 years after the deadliest Tornado occurred in Bangladesh in 1989 that killed 1,300 people.

All these as if the increasing threats of nukes and other weapons of mass destruction and cyberattack weren’t enough to keep you up at night.

As we get more sophisticated and technologically dependent, incredible manmade and natural disasters are threatening us superbig time.

And over and over again, it is being reported that a well-placed EMP explosion over the United States would kill 90% of the population within a year–talk about a extinction level event!

As we experience temperatures15 degree above normal this fall, even the trees are behaving abnormally as the leaves are not changing to colors of yellows and oranges and reds and purples that we expect and enjoy.

Nature is messed up by our abuse of the planet and nurture is messed up by megalomaniacs with the weapons to do us in.

If we don’t correct the dangerous path we are on polluting our planet and over-relying on technology then soon we could be turning horrible colors even if the leaves just fall to the ground or turn to ash. 😉

Reconquest of the Soviet Union

Soviet Union .jpeg

Okay, when I saw this map of the Soviet Union pre-1991 breakup, I got it!

Russia lost 14 Former Soviet Union (FSU) states after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

  1. Armenia
  2. Azerbaijan
  3. Belarus
  4. Estonia
  5. Georgia
  6. Kazakhstan
  7. Kyrgystan
  8. Latvia
  9. Lithuania
  10. Moldovia
  11. Tajikistan
  12. Turkenistan
  13. Ukraine
  14. Uzbekistan

Could you imagine the United States or the European Union losing something like that?

Think of California and Texas and more seceding and making their own independent states.

What would that do to the power and capability of this country?

Hence, when Russia goes into FSUs like Georgia and Ukraine (in red)–does a land grab like with Crimea and Abkhazia and South Ossetia–and threatens others, in their Soviet minds, they are just reclaiming what is/was theres.

Now listen, I am not justifying their aggression and hostile actions, but I am realizing/recognizing how explosive a situation this may end up being–especially since Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania (in blue) changed sides and are now part of NATO!

Russia–even without the 14 FSUs–is the largest country in the world by territory with over 17 million square miles–that is almost the size of the United States and Canada or and China combined!

Russia may not have the economy of the United States but they are a formidable foe that we least not forget also has the largest nuclear weapons stockpile in the world.

Russia has a history of creating a large world dominating union and their military forays into the FSUs, support of hostile regimes like Syria and in Iran, sizable war games in Belarus, continuing to militarize the Arctic, interfering in our election, stealing our secrets via Kaspersky Lab software is likely just a shadow of what is yet to come.

So if you think North Korea and Iran are problems…  😉

What A Nuclear War Looks Like

Wow, wow, wow!

Great job Hashem Al-Ghaili on this video depicting the implicit horror of nuclear war.

16,000 nuclear weapons…2,000 ready to launch at a moment’s notice.

Wake up world!

It just takes one numbskull to kill it for everybody.

“Few people laughed.
Few people cried.
Most people were silent.
Now I am become death.
The destroyer of worlds.”

We need to pray to G-d and do everything to protect this amazing world and our people for the future.

There has got to be a tomorrow! 😉

No Smartphone, No Life

Disaster.jpeg

So we are utterly and helplessly dependent on our smartphones and mobile communications.

If our enemies strike our communications networks, we are as good as dead.

Can you imagine the panic and chaos that would ensue?

Cut off from family, friends, and colleagues.

Unable to get unto the Internet!

No eCommerce.

No online Banking.

No social networking.

No easily and readily available information.

No online music, videos, or gaming.

No online (fake) news.

As you see in the photo, under the smashed smartphone…it says, “Disaster”!

We wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves.

And we wouldn’t know how to conduct ourselves by ourself.

We are completely dependent on mobile communications and connectivity to each other.

Without, we wither and die.

And G-d created the marvels of the Heaven and Earth in 6 days.

But we have become so tethered and dependent on our technology, we are toast in just a split second.

If we don’t get serious about cybersecurity, and fast, there is going to be hell on Earth to pay.

And not a single shot needs to be fired. 😉

Planning For The End Of The World

ammo

I have never heard so much about the coming of the end of the world, Armageddon, the Apocalypse, and World War III as I am hearing these days…

The world seems to truly be going mad.

And that MAD is as in CRAZY and as in Mutually Assured Destruction.

– 25 years after the end of the Cold War, we are back in a nuclear arms race with Russia!

– Despite being our largest trading and economic partner, we are now going head-to-head confronting China over trade, Taiwan, and the South China Sea!

– While setting some near-term constraints, we have in effect solidified Iran’s getting the nuclear bomb!

– As North Korea continues developing and testing nukes and ballistic missiles, we have no answers for how to deal with them!

Not only have we failed to contain the many threats we face, but also in many or most cases, we have made them worse.

– The Middle East has gone from the promise of an Arab Spring to instead raging in flames and becoming the modern-day killing fields

– Even as ISIS becomes more dangerous despite having less territory, they are likely eclipsed by Iran’s global terror expansion as a threat to the world order

– The refugee crisis has meant that ISIS terrorists have infiltrated our borders and are now living among us ready to strike at will.

– There is a real documented threat of a terrorist attack using radiological, chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons of mass destruction

– The European Union is falling apart and it’s future is unknown.

– Increasing border attacks and escalating tensions are creating a risk of a dangerous Indian-Pakistani War

Obama has alienated our allies, reduced our stature among the nations, and destabilized the world

– While people are arguing over the state of hopelessness since the election or from before it, either way, there is huge divisiveness in America.

– Gun ownership is soaring and people are stockpiling ammo

– Videos have emerged from people in near-death experiences claiming to have vividly seen the coming World War III and the prelude to the coming of the messiah.

– There is even widespread recognition by our space experts that we are woefully unprepared for an errant asteroid or comet hitting the Earth

Clergy is warning and encouraging us to repent and do good deeds to merit G-d saving us from the coming cataclysm, whatever it ends up being.

I am certainly not a forecaster of doom and gloom, but always try to remain hopeful and encourage everyone to do their best to improve the world.

But I also must reflect on the voices of anger, frustration, and exasperation around the world that are growing ever louder and scarier daily…the latest with Obama’s betrayal of Israel at the United Nations Security Council.

What comes next politically may very well determine whether the end is near or the future gets bright again. 😉

Time Runs Out – What Are We To Believe?

Lama

Time runs out, but we are still chasing highly elusive goals (just some examples):

1) Iran – Time runs out on deadline for a nuke deal even after “the framework” was supposedly set three months ago. And as Iran’s Supreme Leader and the Iranian Parliament chant death to America, can we really believe that Iran will ever truly give up their pusuit of nuclear weapons of mass destruction (and terrorism) to use on you know who?

2) Greece – Time runs out on an extension of more Greek bailout funds, and they default on payment to the International Monetary Fund potentially leading to their exit from the Euro and the EU. With a Greek debt of $271 billion, can we really believe they will ever be able to repay this?

3) Social Security and Medicare – Time is running out on the solvency of our own social entitlement system in the U.S.  For example, the Social Security Disability Trust Fund runs dry already next year in 2016, Medicare is exhausted by 2030 and Social Security by 2033. With just 16 and 19 years of funding left for these major programs that tens of millions depend on, can we really believe that magically we will dig our way out of this mega mess of a financial hole?

4) Global Warming – Time is running out on cutting carbon emissions leading to global warming and catastrophic climate change. With global warming denial still in vogue and reluctance by the industrial nations to significantly cut back on emissions in time, can we really believe that catastrophic enviornment damage will be averted?

5) War – Time is runing out as potential for eventual war looms on the horizon with China, says respected DoD Futurist, Peter Singer. With disputes in the South China Sea and with Taiwan, China bulking up on advanced weapons, and the U.S. pivoting to Asia, the fears of a serious confrontation are there. Similarly, with Russia and it’s annexation of Crimea and ongoing fighting in eastern Ukraine, threats to it’s Balkan neighbors, confrontations on the European borders, and an increasingly nuclear and militant Russia, the Cold War is heating up. The last world war ended 70 years ago, can we really believe that the peace will continue to prevail with powerful adversaries in turbulent and uncertain times?

Yes, hopes and dreams are important, but real concrete action is too or time will simply run out and then what? 😉

We’re Dead And We Don’t Even Know It

We're Dead And We Don't Even Know It

We all know the frightening threat of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) heading over the ice caps–from Russia, China, and even North Korea someday) and landing in our “backyards” destroying life as we know it.

But what The Washington Beacon reports about the arms race to new ultra-high speed missiles means we are probably dead already and don’t even know it.

These new missiles being developed by China, Russia, India, and the U.S. are designed to be so fast, so small, go so low (“ground-hugging), and be so maneuverable with precision guided systems that they may completely evade all our missile defenses (long-range interceptors, medium-range sea and land-based interceptors, and short-range, near target interceptors).

China tested one of these on Jan. 9–it would sit atop an ICBM and “then glide and maneuver at speeds of up to 10 times the speed of sound from near space en route to its target.”

It “takes off towards its target from near space, or less than 62 miles from earth.”

Traveling at Mach 10 or 7,680 miles per hour, the warhead would hit accordingly to my calculation in under 30 seconds!

These hypersonic weapons can be loaded on the last stages of ICBMS, submarine missiles, aboard strategic bombers, on cruise missiles, and even on surveillance drones.

This is the “hypersonic arms race” and the winner has asymmetric warfare advantage and can take out their opponent before the other guy even knows what hit them.

The good news is that the U.S. is testing the Lockheed HTV-2, Hypersonic Technology Vehicle, capable of Mach 20 (13,000 mph), and within the next 10-15 years we expect “rapid kill” to be able to “attack any location on earth within an hour.”

Note: the diameter of the earth is only 7,926 miles so if we can achieve Mach 20, it will actually only take us about 36 minutes!

So conventional missile defense is a bust, which leaves kinetic weapons and lasers (high-speed hit-to-kill capabilities) as our last defensive hope, as Ian Easton of the Project 2049 Institute said, “If there is a great power war in this century, it will not begin with the sound of explosions on the ground and in the sky, but rather with the bursting of kinetic energy and the flashing of laser light in the silence of outer space.”

What follows though is anything that gets through these defenses rings will destroy everything down here before you would even have enough time to read this post.

In a sense, we’re all dead already, and this is a very small foreshadowing testament.
