Sleep Apnea and Respiratory Disorders

The pharmacy now has all these options on display for respiratory disorders (Sleep Apnea, COPD, etc.)

You can get full face, nasal mask (2 versions), or nasal “pillows”.

How does one choose? I guess your doctor knows.

Looks challenging to try and sleep with these, but I guess you may have to do what you have to do. 

At least, there are therapeutic options these days, and hopefully many more in the future for all the illnesses out there!  😉

Politically Incorrect Ointment

Couldn’t believe that this was a real product in CVS.

Didn’t think any legitimate product would actually be named “Butt Paste.”

Can you imagine going up to the pharmacist and asking:

Do you have any butt paste?

Pharmacist: 

Oh yes, it’s in Aisle 7. Do you want me to show you where it is?

Now, we’re really going down a rabbit’s hole! 😉

Anti-Dentite, Like Pulling Teeth

This is a hilarious statue of dentist using a pliers to pull out someone’s teeth. 

Notice the dentist has his foot up to get some leverage to pull out the teeth, yikes!

I guess this is how things were in the “olden days.”

No Anesthesia either! 

I’m sure in a hundred years from now, they’ll look at our state of healthcare and laugh too. 

Progress is a great thing! 😉

Dr Merry-Go-Round

So I was talking with a friend and he was pretty frustrated with the state of medical care these days.

He mentioned that no doctor wants to take responsibility for the patient anymore. 

Maybe that’s why they punt to other doctors and have big medical malpractice insurance. 

But he said something really interesting…

“You wind up going on doctor merry-go-round until you [actually] find someone willing to help…”

One doctor sends you to another doctor and this one sends you to that specialist and it goes on and on. 

Sometimes they just can’t figure out what’s wrong. 

Usually comes across as trial-and-error or a process of elimination. 

But then if they don’t want to deal with you or don’t know what’s wrong or how to treat they pass you off to the next doctor and so on, and so on. 

I suppose to a certain extent it makes sense because medicine like many technical fields is very specialized now-a-days. 

But how much is it the specialization stuff and how much is it that they just don’t want to deal with the hard stuff or don’t want the liability. 

Dr. Merry-Go-Round takes you on a very nauseous ride and makes it tough sometimes to get the care you need.  😉

Covid Ultimate Mr. Clean

Check out the ultimate Mr. Clean .

Not as good looking as the muscular bald guy.

But I have a feeling this colorful character gets the job done.

I wonder if Mr. Clean was transformed into this guy after he took the vaccine!  

I had the first dose yesterday, and I’m feeling horrible today.

Hopefully, it will all be worth it. 😉

Wow, each of these are different eyeglass lenses. 

So many prescription strengths. 

Trial and error to figure out what is the right one. 

Hold it up to your eye or flip it into the machine. 

How’s things looking now?

A little stronger, no a little weaker. 

Wait, stronger.

No, weaker.

Ah this is nuts. 

How can I even see what the heck I am choosing.

Walking Dead: Can’t Wait

A lot of us can’t wait for Walking Dead Season 11 coming in 2021!

24 more episodes of killing the crazy zombies. 

Everyone’s got to hold on and survive in a world that is in full apocalypse mode. 

It doesn’t take much for society to revert to biblical Sodom and Gomorrah where the wheels come completely off the proverbial bus. 

We should know because aside from advances in technology and medicine, a lot of the world is well on the way there!  😉

It’s 9/11 Every Day in The U.S.

For the last 4 weeks now, we’ve had about 3,000 deaths a day from Coronavirus in the U.S., this number is eerily similar to the number of fatalities in the horrific terrorist attack on this country on 9/11.

Moreover, we have reached over 350,000 dead in less than a year, with the projection by April 1 to be 567,000 dead or another 217,000 gone in just the next 3 months!

Despite numerous pharmaceutical companies coming up with a Covid vaccine, the distribution here is being botched every day. 

In December, we vaccinated less than 1% of the U.S. population with a first dose, despite having been promised that 20 million people would be vaccinated, while another country like Israel has vaccinated 12% of their population.

So while we are experiencing the equivalent in terms of deaths of another 9/11 just about every day now, our government and their partners are pathetically slow in reacting to save lives!

• The Federal government is punting to the state governments.
• The State governments are punting to the local governments.
• And the local governments are not sure what they are doing and there is inconsistency and conflicting, confusing guidelines in the system currently.

Recently, I contacted my local authorities and received a form email back that basically told me they still know virtually nothing:”We are currently focused on the registration of vaccination sites, the distribution and administration of vaccines in Phase 1, storage and handling, and overall communications, including ensuring patient follow-up and second dose reminders. We expect additional updates on increased vaccine production in early 2021 from our federal partners. As we learn more from the federal government, we will adjust…”

I am appalled to see so many sick people and families and friends affected and people needlessly dying every minute of every day. 

I am wondering why there is not more of an uproar and outrage from the people (even as a new more contagious variant is spreading) or is a 9/11 every day now an acceptable casualty count?

I can virtually guarantee you that if/when this is done, there are going to be how many lawsuits, investigations, and commissions looking into how this got so mishandled and resulted in so much suffering and loss of life.  😉
